McCarthy Construction Ltd wins contract for construction works at the National Composite Centre Bristol!

We have been awarded the contract for construction works at the NCC Bristol University.

The works involve the contruction of a large pit  within the existing building.

Before construction works start on the pit a scoffold structure will be erected above and around the works site. The scaffold structure will then be completely encapsulated in a plastic wrapping so as to ensure the is no contamination from the works within the existing facility. The excavation for the pit in soft tsandstone will be carried out using hydraulic bursting and braking techniques. Once excavated a reinforced concrete floor and walls will be formed incorporating new steps.

Work is due to commence on 24th April 2018.
